Public Workshop Policies
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENTS
To reserve your spot in a public workshop, please register in advance. Full payment must be received to reserve your spot. Registration can be made until the class is full or up to 12 hours before the workshop time. Once a class is full, the workshop “stock” will show that it is sold out and will not allow you to register. Please reach out with any questions.
All payment types are accepted through the website via Stripe.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
In the event you need to cancel, please read our policies below and submit a cancellation request via email to workshops@sistermoonstudio.com.
Our class sizes are small to allow for plenty of one-on-one instruction, and we rely on your commitment to offer our workshops. Full payment is due upon booking, and 50% of that is considered a non-refundable deposit. If you withdraw from the class 2 days or more prior to your workshop, a 50% refund will be issued. No refunds will be given for withdrawals made within 2 days (48 hours) of the workshop.
If you cannot attend and are not able to cancel prior to 48 hours before a workshop, you may transfer your spot to a friend. If you plan to transfer your spot to a friend, please let us know by sending an email.
If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment, you will be notified as soon as possible and you will receive a 100% refund.
No refund will be available if you arrive late, leave early, or attend a workshop and are dissatisfied with its presentation or content.
WEATHER
In cases of severe inclement weather, class will be canceled and a make-up date will be scheduled. We will email all attendees in the instances, and you may choose to be issued a refund or be issued a credit equaling the value of your registration for a future workshop.
LATE ARRIVALS
Late arrivals may mean missing important information and demonstrations. Please plan to show up a few minutes early to set up and get comfortable before we start.
COMFORT
Our workshop set up depends highly on the location, but typically we use folding chairs and tables set at a standard height. You are welcome to sit or stand as you prefer. If you require any specific accommodations please let us know in advance so we can set up the space for your best comfort.
Private Lesson Policies
GOALS
Please let us know of any goals you have, such as specific art skills, mindfulness techniques, or specifics you want to accomplish from your private sessions. There is space to express your goals on the private lesson request form, and we can discuss further in your first session if need be.
SUPPLY LISTS
Private Art Lessons: We will give you a list of everything you will need to get started. If meeting in person, some materials are available to rent for the lesson for an additional fee.
Creative Mindfulness Sessions: All materials are provided for in person creative mindfulness sessions.
Virtual Sessions: Participant is responsible for all materials.
PAYMENT & SCHEDULING
Requesting a session is done organically via email, request form, in person, or over the phone. Once dates and lesson themes are determined, we will send you a private link to process payment. We will also send you calendar invites to your scheduled lessons, please be sure to RSVP to these events. Upon scheduling a private lesson, full payment is due. By completing your payment, you agree to our cancellation policy.
CANCELLATION
In the event you need to cancel, please submit cancellation requests via email to workshops@sistermoonstudio.com.
Cancellation 7+ days prior to lesson time:
Sister Moon Studio will refund your tuition paid less a 50% cancellation fee if you cancel 7+ days before the time of your lesson.
Cancellation 48 hours prior to the lesson time:
No refund will be given.
You may schedule a new lesson or place the tuition on hold for a later date within 3 months of the canceled lesson.
If no notification of cancellation occurs or an email is sent fewer than 48 hours before the class, you will forfeit your tuition.
No refund will be available if you arrive late, leave early, or attend a lesson and are dissatisfied with its presentation or content.
WEATHER AND OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES:
In cases of severe inclement weather or in case your instructor is ill, lessons will be canceled and a make-up date will be scheduled. We will email all attendees in the instances, and you may choose to be issued a refund or be issued a credit equaling the value of your registration for a rescheduled session.
Private Workshop Policies
BOOKING AND PAYMENTS
Requesting a private event is done organically via email or with the Art Party request form. We will then reach out to schedule an initial phone call to chat through the event details and get everything in motion. Once dates and workshop themes are determined, we will send you an Event Agreement to sign and return, and either a private link to process payment or an invoice for check payments. A $150, non-refundable deposit is due to reserve your date, and the remaining balance along with confirmed head count is due 2 weeks prior to the event . By completing your payment, you agree to our cancellation policy.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
In the event you need to cancel, please send a cancellation notice via email to workshops@sistermoonstudio.com. Event deposits and final payments are non-refundable.
No refund will be available if you arrive late, leave early, or are dissatisfied with the workshop presentation or content.
WEATHER
In cases of severe inclement weather, events will be canceled and a make-up date will be scheduled. We will be in constant contact in the instance of severe weather, and you may choose to be issued a refund or be issued a credit equaling the value of your booking for a future event.
LATE ARRIVALS & START TIMES
Late arrivals may mean missing important information and demonstrations. Please ask your guests to arrive at least 15 minutes early so everyone is settled before we begin, and please do not schedule an event with a meal overlapping the workshop time. You are welcome to provide light food and beverages, and we suggest providing small plates for refreshments so that guests can have room for their food at the table if they choose.
TABLE AND CHAIR RENTAL
If you require additional tables or chairs for your event, we can arrange rentals and provide a rental quote based on your specific needs.
