Join us this October at Local Love CHS for a laid-back watercolor workshop where we’ll explore the peaceful world of mountain landscapes. Whether you’re new to watercolor or just want to try out some new techniques, this class is all about having fun and creating art that makes you feel good.
We’ll start with the basics of layering— build up layers of paint step by step, adding depth and dimension to your mountainscape. Your instructors, Cat and Dot Brantley, will show you how to mix and blend colors to capture the light and shadows that make mountain scenes so magical.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have your very own set of four mountainscape paintings to take home, along with some new skills and a sense of accomplishment.
What to Expect:
Simple, step-by-step guidance on layering and blending
Tips for creating realistic mountain scenes and choosing magical color combinations
All painting supplies provided (just bring yourself and maybe a friend or two!)
Perfect For:
Anyone who loves nature and wants to paint it
Beginners or those looking for a relaxed, creative time
A chill afternoon with friends or a solo creative escape
